Raglan, only half an hour from Hamilton, is a popular destination for both holidaymakers and people looking for a permanently more relaxed way of life. Reflecting its inhabitants, the Raglan Township is packed full of interesting shops, cafés and restaurants and boasts a great welcoming holiday feel on arrival . Raglan is perhaps most renowned as a world class surfing destination. The near perfect left hand break at Manu Bay is a true surfers Mecca and has been sought out and surfed by many of the worlds best. Also known as The Point when the conditions are right, this famous surf break is said to have the longest left hand ride in the world. But you don't need to be able to ride waves to get the most out of this town. With a large harbour, several beaches spread along kilometres of coastline and Raglans bustling creative town centre there is something here for everyone. Transportation - Raglan Kopua Holiday Park
Raglan is located 48km west of Hamilton. From there, it takes about 45 minutes by car to get here. Take the SH 23, stay on this route and you can¿t go wrong. If travelling south from Auckland on SH 1, turn off at Ngaruawahia following SH 39 until you come to Whatawhata. Then turn right onto SH 23, just follow your nose and you are there. Total driving time from Auckland: 2-2 ½ hours.
